Maryland NEVI Program Round 3

Round 3 Request for Proposals (RFP)

Round 3 of Maryland’s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program opened for proposals on March 17, 2026. The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) issued a press release for the announcement.

To ensure Maryland’s Alternative Fuel Corridors (AFCs) are built out most efficiently, proposed sites must be located within one of the nine designated Targets Areas.

Maryland NEVI Program Round 2

NEVI Round 2 Conditional Awards

On October 28, 2025, the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) issued a press release to announce conditional awards under Round 2 of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program. Conditional awards have been issued for 12 project sites in 12 counties within Maryland. These projects will use over $9.5 million in federal investments to install 48 public, convenient, and reliable Direct Current (DC) fast chargers along the state’s designated electric vehicle (EV) Alternative Fuel Corridors.

Maryland NEVI Program Round 1

NEVI Round 1 Awards

On July 10, 2024, Governor Wes Moore issued a press release to announce conditional awards under NEVI Program Round 1. Final awards have been issued for 19 project sites in 13 counties within Maryland. These projects will use nearly $9.5 million in federal investments to install 118 public, convenient, and reliable DC fast chargers along the state’s designated EV Alternative Fuel Corridors.
